She is initially uncertain until he arrives at the house and immediately charms her. When Alex invites her to a book signing in Liverpool with an over-night stay she entertains thoughts of their spending the night together. When David realises this he plans to have sex with Ramona to get back at his wife. Meeting Alex inspires Adam to show Rachel the manuscript of a book he once wrote but when she laughs at it he decides to write another one. Pete and Jenny are irritated by a visit from his parents.
