Laura is upset feeling she should have stopped Lance going off on his own the night before. DI Morrell is concerned about the killer's escalation to murder a police officer. Gina and Adam try and keep the relief focused. Neil and Mickey interview bar staff at a gay bar where Lance was drinking. Neil arrests Josh Hill as the prime suspect but he tells them he saw Lance getting into the car of Michael Keenan the bar man. Phil attends the registration of his son Alfie with Kate. Kate tells Phil she is moving to Cardiff. The team are frustrated when both Josh Hill and Michael Keenan are eliminated from being involved with the murders via forensics.
