Imparting this information to Mrs. Bill, which she, wise lady, receives with an ominous shake of the head. Bill sets off and purchases a large hobby-horse. He drags his new acquisition along to a café, where he proceeds to give it some straw. A lady's bag gives him a new idea, and stuffing the straw in it, he makes a respectable nose-bag. The lady is naturally irate, so Bill dashes off with his steed, causing innumerable people to fall suddenly into various attitudes. At last a policeman looms in sight, and Bill, his horse and the officer have a lively wrestle, during which our "horseman" makes his escape. Finally we see him at home, his face wreathed in bandages, but still with a cheerful "Bill" smile. Written by
