She adores her obese son obsessively and keeps him in a dog leash. Young Fern is in love with a famous warrior David. But he ridicules her when they finally meet. Abused and lonely fern has no one to turn to. But then one night a tooth fairy ,who is the local ice-cream man appears in her tiny attic and grants her one wish.
