Then Harold is invited to court her by the parents. Vivian makes herself appear homely thereby driving him away. Later Vivian is approached on the street by Percy who insists on paying her unwelcome attentions. Charley happens to be passing by and observes this and thrashes the flirt. Then he goes into the bakery and securing some pies, chases Percy. A pie he throws happens to strike Vivian's Pa in the face. That evening when Charley visits Vivian. Pa recognizes him and kicks him from the house. Vivian, in spite of the efforts of her parents, escapes and accompanies Charley. They start for the minister's on a bicycle. They have numerous adventures where the girl's father has preceded them. But when the old man learns that Charley is anxious to marry his daughter, he willingly gives his consent to the surprise of the young people. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
