He doesn't intend to give one away, but Ham and Bud by a clever ruse succeed in getting a greenback from him. Their attention is drawn to a charity bazaar, and they enter. It's all off when Ruby Lyps is disclosed with a sign over her head reading "Kisses $1.00 Each. For Sweet Charity." Having paid their way in, Ham and Bud only have eighty cents between them. Their efforts to make the eighty cents do the work of a dollar wind the bazaar up in a whirlwind finish, but there's still more fun in store for Ham and Bud when they get jobs in the kitchen of a fashionable restaurant.
