She is ...See moreWith death near Philip Cole sends for Jack Thomas, a young broker and his only close friend. He asks him to care for his little daughter. Thirteen years later Thomas has been true to his trust and his ward is known as Elsa Thomas. She is in love with him. Randolph Murray, a middle-aged brother, is in love with her. She spurns him and he breaks Thomas. To revenge himself also on the girl he has a woman accomplice slip an expensive ring into her coat. When searched by the police Thomas declares he stole it. He is sentenced to Joliet prison. The girl goes to work in Murray's office. Ultimately he tells her of the plot, believing her love for Thomas to be dead. She tricks him into recording the confession before authorities and wins a pardon for Thomas, who changes from guardian to husband. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
