She loses her husband and is not backward about seeing that the fact is advertised and broadcast. Her actions indicate to the boys about town that she would not hesitate to take another husband unto herself, and then it becomes a case of "the best man wins." Colonel Coyote Clubbs pays a visit to the village where Mrs. Rucker holds forth, and she falls hard for the new comer. He calls for help, but none will give him as much as sympathy. During the night he flees. Two men of the town start after him and round him up after an all-day chase. But the Colonel has found Mrs. Rucker's husband, whom she had said was killed by the Indians.
