She is undecided which one to choose. Finally Vivian reads an ad from a fortune teller, which states that she can tell the man she is to marry by sending a lock of her lover's hair with a dollar. Vivian decides to try it. Her friend. Marion, however, substitutes a lock of hair clipped from a dog. The fortune teller then describes Percy. However, Charlie threatens to commit suicide. Vivian decides that it is he she loves, and when she finds out that it was the dog's hair that was sent she hastens to Charlie, tells him that she loves him and all ends well.
