In a covered truck on a snowy road, the Germans are transporting a group of civilians. Thoughts of near death inevitably visit the passengers of the van. The Catholic priest accompanying the arrested, among whom is a boy, is preparing companions for departure to another world. A difficult psychological conflict arises between the priest and the boy.
