It looks like wedding bells right away until Mrs. Hopkins decides to build a chicken house. The carpenters come and start erecting the building right on the lot line; to this Mr. Morgan strenuously objects. One word leads to another until Mr. Morgan finally stops the work with an injunction. The respective parents immediately forbid their children to meet, and when their orders are disobeyed, they separate them forcibly. Then Mr. Morgan writes to an old friend inviting his daughter Catherine, to visit them, hoping she can lure Jack away from Daisy. Mrs. Hopkins invites Karl, the son of an old friend, to visit them, hoping he can lure Daisy away from Jack. Catherine and Karl meet and become interested in each other. The air soon becomes thick with plots and there are secret meetings daily. Then one moonlit night Jack dresses up as his father, makes overtures to Mrs. Hopkins, and shows her the injunction papers and tears them up--fixing up the old folks' quarrel without them knowing it. They then withdraw their objections to their children's marriage. Then their children have a little fun by pretending to be in love with the visitors. On their wedding day Mrs. Hopkins and Mr. Morgan discover that Jack and Daisy are as badly in love as ever, and of course a triple wedding follows. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
