Jackson is a grouch, tries ...See morePercy Kelton, a young vaudeville artist and female impersonator, secures a note of introduction from his friend Allison, a theatrical booking agent, to Jackson, a noted manager who has a new show in production. Jackson is a grouch, tries Kelton out and sends him back to Allison with a note saying: "He's a lemon!" Later Jackson woos and wins his leading lady and writes Allison an invitation to attend a supper party at the Rex Café in honor of the event. This gives Allison a great idea, and he and young Kelton plan a novel revenge for the manager's past slight. Jackson and his fiancée and the other guests are making merry at the café that night when a beautiful young woman enters, confronts Jackson and dramatically declares, "He's my husband!" A marriage license further complicates matters and Jackson is on the verge of prostration when the woman pulls off the wig and reveals "herself" as Kelton in one of his female impersonations. Whereupon the baffled Jackson acknowledges the "lemon" to be a "peach" and signs him up for his new show. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
