Cordelia, her colored maid, admires it very much. When she is invited to the grand ball of "The Full Moons" she decides that she will have a slipper watch. She sees a great reduction in dollar watches they are selling for 59 cents. So she gets one and makes herself a slipper. She goes to the ball and is admired by all of the coons. This annoys Bella, another colored belle, who has been the hit of the room with her new necklace. After Cordelia arrives Bella is not in it. Bella, wild with jealousy, gets her best fellow, Rastus, to tread upon Cordelia's foot and smash the watch, promising that she will love him forever. Rastus carries out his part of the plot. After the police clear the hall, Bella and Cordelia fight it out all over again. Next morning Cordelia is a sight, but she tells Miss Travers that she had a perfectly lovely time.
