Betty's mother forbids her to talk to Tommy, saying that the only boy she will allow Betty to play with is Newton Mortimer, whom Betty hates. The Mortimers 'phone and say they are coming to visit them. Betty's father is a messenger for a restaurant. His wife calls up and tells him to hurry home, but he has to deliver an order before he can go home. He breaks through the window of the automobile belonging to the Mortimers and the food falls all over them. Newton tempts Betty with a box of candy and she sends a note to Tommy telling him that she won't play with him any more. Betty's father arrives home and changes clothes. He is recognized by Newton as the messenger, and the Mortimers leave in a hurry. Written by Universal Weekly, August 12, 1922 See less
