Volunteers would not have been so scarce had not the sheriff been killed the day before, by one of the Sheppards. Judge Boyd implores the men to come forward and assist in capturing the desperadoes. Blenton steps forward and says he will try. His trial proved to be a huge success, when before the astonished villagers he marches the three mm of the gang to jail.
