After graduation, Glenn secures a position, but Hazel fails to find anything to do. She is forced to leave her boarding house, being short of funds. Glenn finally secures a position for Hazel and is greatly disappointed a few days later to find her employer making love to her. Glenn becomes disgusted and instead of taking Hazel to the theater that evening, he presents his bookkeeper with the tickets.
