The clock is delivered to his son's office in the same building by mistake. The son, a young doctor, in his twenties, now having made a hit with his sweetheart's parents, decides to have the marriage ceremony performed in his office that afternoon. His sweetheart, Dora Dean, arrives at the office. John telephones a minister to come right over. They are nervously awaiting the arrival of the minister, when the door-bell rings. Suspecting it is Mr. and Mrs. Dean, Dora is pushed hurriedly into the grandfather clock. Mr. and Mrs. Dean enter and seeing Dora's hat on the table demand an explanation, John is about to give one, when the men call for the clock to take it to John's father's apartment. The clock is moved away with Dora in it. Mr. Smith, Sr., opens the clock and finds the prostrate form of Dora. John. Jr., is arrested by Mr. and Mrs. Dean. Dora, now recovered from her nervous breakdown, rushes to the police station, where she again meets her sweetheart. The two embrace each other lovingly.
