Too bashful to tell her of his love, he fortifies himself with "Dutch Courage". It proves of no avail and only makes Geraldine wonder at his funny actions. Ben learns the address of a professor who teaches 'Self Control." He takes a course and becomes bold. In order to make sure he has lost all sense of bashfulness, he experiments on different people. In the meantime, while Ben has been trying to master his bashfulness. George proposes to Geraldine and is accepted, so when Ben boldly calls he learns his efforts have been in vain.
