One of the guerrillas is killed in an armed conflict and another guerrilla named Mokhtar is injured after killing two SAVAK agents. His sister Zainab, who is a medical student, saves him from the clutches of the agents and they take refuge in a house nearby, where the son of a high-ranking SAVAK official named Farrokh frequents this house. Farrokh, who is a student at the officer college, falls in love with the girl, but his father, who is a SAVAK official, is against their marriage and causes trouble for Mokhtar and Zainab's family. A few years later, as a result of Zainab and Mokhtar's encounters, Farrokh is influenced and converts to Islam and marries Zainab. Farrokh, who is now an army officer, seeks to make amends for his father's mistakes, and soon after, he and Mokhtar were killed during an anti-government demonstration and a clash with army forces.
