When the couple arrives, the town is completely deserted: the shops along Main street are all closed and on every door there is a small white card with a forwarding Internet address. Daniel's nostalgic, vivid memories of his bustling northern town bitterly contrast the cold, lifeless place it has become. They reach the house where Daniel grew up only to discover that his parents have also disappeared. The domino effect is set in motion and soon Daniel himself is sucked into a virtual world, leaving Carey alone on the outside. See less
