There she and Eddie Pullen, speed champion, have a case of love at first sight. John, a jealous rival, however, decides to ruin Eddie's chances of winning the race by interchanging the signs on the water and oil cans. It happens that a gambler, who has made a bet with Nell's lather, has the same brilliant thought.
