After being discharged for wearing some of the most expensive samples of stock to a Childs restaurant, she hangs around the shop long enough to sell a ten dollar hat for forty dollars, and the delighted proprietor makes her head saleswoman. This turns her head a trifle but she does not lose it altogether, even when she tries to vamp her best young man's sporty brother and the attempt ends in a fight.
