He is accompanied by producer Marian Marzynski who escaped to the Warsaw ghetto as a child. The two explorers are hosted by a young local Pole by the name of Zybsek who has taken an interest in the Jewish people who lived in his village and has been restoring the destroyed Jewish cemetery in Bryansk. They meet local townspeople to hear stories about the Jews who once lived in Bryansk. Stories of heroism and betrayal from first person villagers..
