One bright sunshiny afternoon they meet three pretty society girls, and protect them from the insults of a tramp. The girls show their appreciation by inviting the boys to attend the charity ball. The boys are delighted, but money is scarce with them and they haven't any dress suits. An idea then occurs to one of them to rent the necessary outfits, but the night of the ball only one suit is delivered, so the three boys have to take turns in wearing it. They are not all the same size, so the dress suit hangs peculiarly funny on their figures. They manage to have a fairly good time, but in the morning, when the suit is called for, it is in a ruined condition. Elsa Seam saves them from embarrassment when she tells her father, the owner of the dress suit renting establishment, of the brave deed accomplished by the trio. Mr. Seam hastily dispatches a boy to the home of the three, where they are presented with fashionable evening clothes. So you see it pays to be a hero, sometimes.
