Sue is trying to impulse John's career, expecting to convince the owner of the Orlando Gallery, Barbara Rendl, to exhibit his paintings, but Barbara waits for the "green light" from the tough curator Alex Neville. Sue is presenting a play about control with the actor Steve Haun in the theater and invites John to see her work. But John is having difficulties to conclude his last painting and sometimes he has bloody nightmares and proceeds the painting. When the artist Christy Chapel and the aspirant actress Kathy Kelly are murdered, John has dreams with them and becomes afraid he is the killer. When he meets Alex Neville, he asks for help to her.
