Flora picks up Fido, shakes her finger at the animal and says, "Naughty Fido," assuring Bunny the dog is only playing. He again tries to pop the question, but this time discovers his hat has received the same treatment as his gloves, and jumps up in a rage. After a war of words, Flora orders Bunny out of the house and decides to go away for a short vacation. Flora receives word from her mother that she is very ill and Flora orders the maid to pack up at once. Of course, she cannot leave dear Fido behind, but she's dismayed to learn that he would need to travel in the baggage care. She decides to dress him up like a baby. In the Pullman car she succeeds in passing him off as a baby. It happens that John takes the same train. They meet and she passes on with her chin in the air. John steps on Fido's tail and that precipitates an awful quarrel. John angrily tells the conductor the "baby" is a dog. The conductor tries to take the dog from Flora and she accidentally drops Fido out of the window. John pulls the emergency cord, stops the train and runs after the dog, returning Fido, unhurt, to Flora, who is overjoyed and very grateful to John. He slips the conductor a bill and sitting by Flora's side, strokes Fido, looking shyly at her, proposes again and this time is accepted. Fido approvingly wags his tail.
