Although the goods are available only for purchase by retailers, who in combination spend several million dollars per working day at the mart, the public is also provided tours through the facility to view the merchandise that will eventually be for sale at their favorite retailer. The goods are set up in attractive displays side-by-side with their competitors so that the buyers and public can comparison shop. The facility also acts as a small city. Many who work in the facility need not leave the building to eat, shop, or relax. And many functions that exist in cities are also dedicated within the facility, such as having its own police force and post office. Written by Huggo See less
