On this particular occasion he has an unusually tiring days work and arrives home completely fagged out. His wife and son, Dave, have prepared a surprise for him in the shape of a dinner-party, to which several guests have been invited. Not knowing of this, Bunny, who is feeling absolutely all in, goes straight to his room and gets into bed instead of dressing for dinner, as is his usual custom. In the dining room, his wife and the guests are anxiously awaiting his arrival. Mrs. Bunny turns off the lights and instructs the guests to rise and give him a rousing cheer when he enters the room and switches them on. Then she calls to her husband to hurry, as she wants him. Not expecting company. Bunny descends the stairs in his pajamas, and is seen in that garb by the scandalized guests when he turns on the electric lights. Indignant at what they consider a very poor kind of a joke, they all depart hastily, leaving Bunny to comfort his sorrowing wife and explain matters as best he can. Before he goes upstairs to don his dress clothes, his son, Dave, arrives with his sweetheart, Ethel, who also sees him in flimsy attire and flees from the room with a horrified shriek. Dave rushes after her and explains things. After a good laugh at her future father-in-law's expense, she consents to stay to dinner. Written by Moving Picture World synopsis See less
