Constance Dussault is the iron matriarch who fights against the intriguing Jean-Claude, husband of daughter Nicole, to save her enterprise. Her other daughter Jacqueline suffers under her broken marriage with star conductor Bruno Steinberg who has an affair with the attractive Italian Alessandra Thesis. After Jacqueline dies mysteriously, Constance discovers another connection between Alessandra and her family.
