Sam Barton arrives. He is impressed with Malone's innovative fire truck, falls in love with his daughter, Jerry Malone, and refuses to enter into Pickens's scheme. During a visit of neighboring fire chiefs, a fire breaks out, and Sam and Jerry are able to prove the value of the apparatus by dousing a burning bridge, thereby saving the lives of hundreds of people. This act promotes the sale of a number of firetrucks and brings happiness to Malone, his daughter, and Sam. Written by AFI See less
