Grace is the young and beautiful owner of a ranch, Larry a cowpuncher by trade, and the latter is considerably puzzled by the situation into which Fate has thrust him. But eventually he wanders away into the desert and there discovers a lonesome baby which he takes in charge, and after numerous complications ensue, succeeds in procuring a mother and home for the child. He gets mixed up in a scrap over a gold mine and becomes the possessor of an important map. The result of his laudable exertions is that Larry finds himself in the unpleasant position of a perfectly innocent chap whom everyone looks on as a dastardly abductor and all-around scoundrel.
