Army officer Bruce Knight is in love with Rose and begs her to marry him, but she refuses until Jules informs her one day that Pierre has been killed in an avalanche. Rose then agrees to marry Knight, but on her wedding day a unexpected surprise occurs: Pierre shows up. Unfortunately, things don't work out quite the way Rose expected.
