His son Wally arrives home from college, hears of the mill troubles, and tries to persuade his father to grant their requests. His father refuses and suggests that he take a vacation. Wally leaves a note, stating that he has gone to the seashore. Instead, he applies at his father's factory for a position and is put to work. One day, Harry, who also works at the mill and with whom Wally is living, is badly hurt. In his working clothes Wally goes to his father and explains how dangerous working in the mill is for any man. He also explains how Harry was hurt and that it could be avoided. After a strenuous discussion. Wally tells his father if he will allow him to take charge of the factory, he will see that all this trouble is eliminated.
