His friend Wesley visits him and leaves in his care a wallet containing five thousand dollars. The wallet is placed in Madison's safe, and in the morning Madison hands the wallet to Wesley but the money is gone. Wesley charges Madison with having stolen his money. A detective is called in, and humorous situations arise from his suspicions of everybody in the household. The mystery is solved when the three men lying in wait see Madison's wife enter in her nightrobe, open the safe and place the missing money inside.
