Born in Tiruppur, Tiruppur Mani was a successful film producer of Tamil cinema and founder of Vivekananda Pictures. He was know for his selection of scripts. His early day blockbusters include Vandichakkaram (1980), Kannan Oru Kai Kuzhandhai (1978), Rosappoo Ravikkai Kaari (1979). He has won many awards including Tamil Nadu state awards and Film Fare awards.
