Omar Deneb Juárez is an award-winning Mexican film director and screenwriter from Colima. He studied a Bachelor's degree in Digital Filmmaking at the Universidad de Medios Audiovisuales (CAAV) in Guadalajara. Before entering the film industry professionally, he won Colima en Corto at the Colima Film Festival in 2013 with his short film Jonás.

In 2017, his first professional short film, El Ocaso de Juan (Juan's Sunset), won the Ariel Award for Best Fiction Short Film. The film also received a Special Jury Mention at the Guadalajara International Film Festival and was recognized by the Académie des César (France) as one of the best short films worldwide that year, being showcased at Les Nuits en Or in Paris.

His second short film, A Song for María (Una Canción para María), was nominated for the 2020 Ariel Award for Best Fiction Short Film, and won the Silver Goat for Best Mexican Fiction Short Film at the Monterrey International Film Festival. It also received the Venus of Badalona for Best International Film at Filmets, Barcelona, Spain.

His third short film, Isla Soledad (Solitude Island), premiered at the prestigious LA Shorts International Film Festival in 2023, and has since been screened at festivals in Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

His debut feature film, Tres Días en El Paso (Three Days in El Paso), is currently in development.
