Additional engagements, as Assistant Music Director and/or coach, include the Teatro La Fenice, Venice; the Opéra National du Rhin in Strasbourg; Grange Park Opera, and the Teatro Sao Carlos in Lisbon, Portugal.     Sold raffle tickets to attendees approaching the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre. Sales pitch: "Get your red-hot raffle tickets for tonight's drawing here!" Being located at the short walk between the main parking lot and the ticket sales-table for the play, a "captive audience" was available to sell lots of raffle tickets to.

    The Writers' Seminar - December 8, 1995

    Forrest assisted a number of guest speakers and workers contracted for the day at the seminar's venue, which was the Los Angeles Times Building. He also joined fellow volunteers with registration of attendees who arrived en masse, as the crowd quickly swelled. Throughout the event, Red kept in touch with the contracted workers to help gauge needs of the attendees.

    Guest speakers included agents, attorneys, authors, managers, publishers, writers, and two WGA West representatives.

    Simi Valley Broadcast Academy - July 1997

    The Simi Valley Broadcast Academy provided a live local-cable broadcast, to introduce itself to the world. Forrest ensured all musical acts performing that day were (a) onstage and prepared to perform, and (b) awaiting their cues from him to do so.

    LIVE-THEATER USHER

    East West Players Network - 1997-1999

    Guided live theater attendees to their seats. Provided insights for the evening's performance when asked to do so, and informed patrons of volunteer work/donations that would be greatly accepted by the organization.

    Wearing his own tuxedo, Forrest greeted entering arrivals to an annual East West Players gala dinner/awards ceremony held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

    FUNDRAISING-RUNNER UP THE STAIRCASE OF A DOWNTOWN HIGHRISE

    Collected $5 donations for each floor of the stairs he ran up - from street level to the top-floor of the 32-story, downtown-skyscraper 'Transamerica Tower' in Los Angeles.

    Red completed the Run - Walk course to help raise funds for the following Los Angeles area 2002 beneficiaries: the Revlon/UCLA Women's Cancer Research Program, EIF's National Women's Cancer Research Alliance (NWCRA), The Wellness Community, WIN Against Breast Cancer, USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center & Hospital Ovarian & Breast Program, Little Company of Mary Women's Imaging Center.

    HONORS & AWARDS

    Forrest served as a judge for the CableAce Awards in the “Best Original Score” category in 1997. In '98, he was a judge for a live performance competition. Red was interviewed by John Braheny on SAMM BROWN'S FOR THE RECORD (KPFK FM radio Los Angeles), by 'Watchavision' during the 2004 American Film Market, and by Traci Kratzer for four of the 'Beacon Media Group' newspapers in 2006.

    He has addressed students of UCLA Extension; the Van Nuys High School Performing Arts Magnet Program; and members of the Los Angeles Songwriters Showcase.
