Austin Haynes is a British actor, born in Leeds.

Known for his natural charisma and emotional depth, Haynes has quickly become one of the UK's most promising young talents. Since landing his first cast TV role aged seven, in popular BBC1 drama 'The A Word', Austin has worked consistently in film and television.

Austin is a keen guitarist and featured in the infamous Co-Op Christmas Commercial 'Round Are Way', busking with his younger brother, Rocco. The Commercial went on to win several awards including 'Best Casting Featuring Children' at the Casting Directors Association Awards in 2021 at BAFTA.

Austin's first pivotal leading role was released in the summer of 2022, for StudioCanal's 'The Railway Children Return' opposite Jenny Agutter, Sheridan Smith and Sir Tom Courtenay. Austin plays Thomas, the grandson of Jenny Agutter's character, in the family adventure about a group of children evacuated to the Yorkshire countryside in the Second World War. His performance was praised for its warmth and maturity, establishing him as a leading young actor.

A natural flair for accents from a young age, Austin has been cast in many roles using an alternative to his natural Yorkshire accent, including American, London, Newcastle and Liverpool.

Austin's dedication and performance has been recognised through nomination for several awards and he was recently awarded 'Yorkshires Young Achiever of the Year' for 'Contribution to the Arts'.

He has filmed an array of different TV roles in many well-known productions such as 'Gentleman Jack', 'The A Word', 'Dodger', 'Andy and the Band', 'Teds Top Ten', 'All Creatures Great and Small' and Channel 4's 'Somewhere Boy', BAFTA nominated for best drama. Recent television appearances include 'The Power of Parker', 'The Responder'; 'Here we go'; 'Adolescence' for Netflix and a leading role in Jimmy McGovern's critically acclaimed drama 'Unforgivable'.

His films include comedy heist 'The Duke', crime film 'The Pure and the Damned', 'Iniquity' and 'The Boys in the Boat' for MGM, where he was directed by George Clooney. Recent film roles include Jamie Child's feature film 'Jackdaw' for Anton Productions; 'Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning', directed by Christopher McQuarrie; 'Good Boy', directed by Jan Komasa and 'Giant', opposite Pierce Brosnan.

With a career spanning award winning feature films, television series, short films and commercial, Austin has consistently showcased his ability and versatility to demonstrate powerful performances which have captivated audiences, garnering critical acclaim, solidifying his reputation as a talented and sought after actor in the industry.
