Pearce is an award-winning writer, director and producer. Since producing the Tropfest 3rd Place Winner 'Photo Booth' in 2012, he has gone on to represent Australia at the Hokkaido International Producers Workshop in Japan, and produced a number of comedy shorts and web series through the comedy production company Hired Goons. Hired Goons ran for five years, creating weekly comedy sketches, short films and web-series. During this time Pearce wrote, produced and directed titles including Follow That Taxi, Booklovers, Please Do Not Feed The Ducks, The Witch's Mess, A Werewolf in Australia and Desert Island Secret Santa - the last of which winning Best Script and People's Choice at SipFest (Gold Coast International Film Festival).

As of November 2025 Pearce is in pre-production on his debut feature film, the vampire thriller Bloodbag. In addition he is developing a range of other feature films, including a feature adaptation of Follow That Taxi, and the sci-fi comedy adventure South of Nowhere.
