(Director/ Founder/ Producer) Jan-Willem Breure is the director and founder of the Septimius Awards. The Septimius Awards is an international award ceremony based in Amsterdam The Netherlands. The award ceremony has a wide range of attendees which include Emmy and Oscar winners such as Christopher Hampton and Kevin Willmott.

Jan-Willem Breure was born in Rwanda, Africa in 1988. His mother passed away when he was born. He was adopted by a Dutch couple who worked as missionaries in Kenya. Jan-Willem lived in Kenya and Namibia before he moved to the Netherlands in 2002. He studied Interactive Media Design at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague.

In 2008 Jan-Willem founded his own award winning media company 'JW Productions'. The company specializes in film and video productions. In 2022 he founded the Septimius Awards. The Septimius Awards is an international award ceremony are based in Amsterdam. The Septimius Awards has a strong emphasis on discovering and encouraging new independent talent, supporting visionary films and bringing together all elements of film-making and storytelling, which includes fiction, non-fiction, animation, television series and scripts.
