Matt Florio is an award-winning actor, writer, and filmmaker celebrated for sharp, character-driven comedy and inventive storytelling. A South Florida native and Florida State University graduate, Florio transitioned from a successful career in business into entertainment, training at The Second City and Upright Citizens Brigade before pursuing acting and filmmaking full-time. He has appeared in national commercials and television projects while building a prolific body of work as a writer, director, and producer. As founder of Comedy Flo Entertainment, Florio has created and produced more than two dozen comedy films and series that have screened at festivals worldwide, including Mama Needs a Ride, Sexcut, Friend Draft, Unhired Guns, and the series Son of a... and Web Series, earning critical acclaim and multiple Best Comedy and Best Writing awards. He is currently in pre-production on Comedy Flo's debut feature film Chicken Head, which he co-wrote, is co-producing, and will co-star in alongside Corin Nemec, further establishing a bold comedic voice that blends originality, smart pacing, and strong commercial appeal.
