Celesta Sumero is an actor based in Los Angeles, known for her grounded presence and deep love of genre storytelling. Her path to acting has been anything but traditional. Raised Mormon on the East Coast, she later graduated high school in Hawai'i and spent 15 months in Japan on a church mission, immersing herself in a new culture and language. Back in the U.S., Celesta embarked on a 12-year federal government career. Despite all the stability, she couldn't help but yearn for a world in which there was a little more imagination, preferably one with dragons or spaceships. It's a yearning that eventually brought her back to her storytelling and performance beginnings. Today, Celesta uses her extensive life experience to bring authenticity, curiosity, and depth to every role she plays. Whether on screen or on stage, she's driven by a lifelong love of the power of stories to connect, transform, and transport us to new worlds.
