Peggy grew up outside Philadelphia, where her father was a business executive and her mother an active volunteer. She inherited from them a deep love of travel, sailing, and animals. A lifelong explorer, she has visited more than forty countries across five continents, trekking in Peru, living aboard a sailboat, and most recently going on safari in Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe-where she supports a rural village school. Peggy studied art, philosophy, and French dramatic literature during her junior year at the Institute for American Universities in Aix-en-Provence, France. She holds a BFA in Theatre from Ithaca College, completed two years with the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, and earned an MFA in Classical Acting from the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C. Her career includes leading roles in regional theaters, two seasons with the Guthrie Theatre, and a year touring the U.S. and Portugal with the National Theatre of the Deaf. She was nominated for a Henry Award for Other Desert Cities at Theatre Aspen, and has performed on and Off-Broadway as well as in film and television. Peggy divides her time between New York City's Upper West Side and Garrison, New York.
