    JOHN B. LOWE is a Canadian actor, filmmaker, teacher and writer with extensive experience in film, television and theatre. John has produced, written and directed several short film and video projects including the award-winning short film, WINDOWS OF WHITE and produced and wrote ART EPHEMERAL. He is currently developing film and TV projects for Broccolo Creative.

    An accomplished actor, John has been seen in many feature films and TV movies such as JULIANNA AND THE MEDICINE FISH, LOCKED DOWN, SHADOW ISLAND MYSTERIES, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP KID, THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT, THE HESSEN AFFAIR, FIDO and THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT with lead roles in DisneyÕs THE ULTIMATE CHRISTMAS PRESENT, and TRAPPED for the USA Network. He is a regular in the TV series TINYA PLASTIC MEN and CASHING IN and was a recurring character in the CBC TV series NOTHING TOO GOOD FOR A COWBOY. John has made many guest appearances on TV shows such as LESS THAN KIND, MILLENNIUM, X-FILES, FIRST WAVE, THE IMMORTAL, BEGGARS AND CHOOSERS, THE NEW ADDAMS FAMILY, COLD SQUAD and others.

    John has appeared on stage in numerous productions including THE SECRET MASK, SAVANNAH DISPUTATION and HAVING HOPE AT HOME for Prairie Theatre Exchange and the Sunshine Theatre production HERE ON THE FLIGHT PATH. Other theatre credits include AN INSPECTOR CALLS for The Chemainus Theatre Festival, MEASURE FOR MEASURE at the Citadel Theatre and appearances in FOR THE PLEASURE OF SEEING HER AGAIN and THE DRAWER BOY for Kelowna's Sunshine Theatre and DEAR SANTA and OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS for Western Canada Theatre and The Gateway and many more.

    John B. Lowe was born in Toronto, Ontario and has lived in Vancouver, British Columbia, Edmonton Alberta, BC's beautiful Okanagan valley and Winnipeg, Manitoba.

    John was the School and Community Programs Director at Prairie Theatre Exchange; a professional theatre company in Winnipeg Manitoba. John has taught acting to many professional and community film and theatre programs since 1989, including The Citadel Theatre, Sunshine Theatre, Western Canada Theatre, The Okanagan School of The Arts, CATO and others. He was artistic director of St. Albert ChildrenÕs Theatre and the Arts Renaissance Troupe and has produced and acted in many independent theatre projects including the improvised soap-opera, Die Nasty, and the award-winning fringe shows GREATER TUNA and GIANT ANTS!
