To help them through this tough journey, award-winning design icon Jamie Durie will be the host and mentor to the teams. Jamie has inspired millions across the world with his designs, and will be sharing his expertise and insight. Joining Jamie on the design panel is lead judge, Laurence Llewellyn Bowen, one of UK's most famous and flamboyant design pioneers, with 16 years of design television experience to back up his razor sharp judgements on our contestants hopefuls! The show begins with the teams gathering at the East Residence, Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club where Jamie Durie lays down the rules for the contestants, telling them that every team is expected to showcase their creativity and innovation at its best for the next 10 weeks. Each team's designated luxury home is a blank canvas, with one room to design from scratch each week around a key theme. Jamie explains to the teams that "Glamour" is the theme of the whole series, and the judges will be expecting to see it not only in the designs, but reflected in the contestants themselves! The teams are told that their overall budget is $100,000 dollars for this competition to design their homes.
