Kaito is working catching dolphins to deliver to overseas aquariums. Hiromi stopped Izumi from killing herself, and she brought him to the island to run her father's hotel bar. Kaito and Hiromi bump into each other in the bar, and renew their friendship. Sakura and Fujiko visit Diamondhead, and tell Haruko that the boys have reconnected on this island. Haruko wins tickets for 2 to the island, but when she and Makoto go, they are disappointed at the compromises Kaito and Hiromi have made for their work. Haruko and Makoto fly home. Hiromi visits Kaito's work, and they free the dolphin, but are arrested by the police. In jail, they meet a man who is a ringer for Masaru. Izumi's father gets them out of jail, but they are made to fly home to Japan. Hiromi buys back his old white Renault, and the two of them head back to Diamondhead to reunite with Makoto and Haruko.
