In 1958, under unfortunate circumstances that were never really clarified for both of them, they had lost touch. Harry then disappeared after Bill Haley's legendary hooligan riot concert in Hamburg. Together with his best friend Paul he hired himself out as a roadie in the USA and spent his unsteady life in the entourage of rock bands. Now the two are surprisingly returning to their home in Nordheide on motorbikes. Harry has a serious reason for this. But Elisabeth doesn't realize that, his presence confuses her too much. The same goes for Fred Schmidt, who was a member of the circle of friends at the time. As a retiree, he volunteers in the monastery and has always been a close confidante of Elisabeth. During their youth together, he was Harry and Elly's "postillon d'amour". The fact that he played fate in a momentous way is his secret, the discovery of which he now fears.
