Instead, the band watched as peers like the Dave Matthews and Blues Traveler achieved this success while never reaching beyond the cusp of stardom. The Samples managed to create a sound all of their own with influences of reggae, folk and rock. Led by steadfast songwriter Sean Kelly, the Samples continued on despite member break ups and record company divorces only through the unwavering support of their passionate fan base. The Best Band You've Never Heard follows the band from its humble origins in Vermont and Boulder up through the original members' nostalgic reunion at the 2010 Mile High Music Festival in Denver.
