Facing bankruptcy and possible criminal prosecution, he comes up with a drastic scheme to shield his family from financial hardship: Frank will sacrifice his own life to save his loved ones from can a life of poverty and shame. Through his lawyer Gryske, Frank hires two 'mechanics' to arrange it so that he will suffer a fatal car accident, thereby enabling his wife to collect on his million dollar life insurance policy.
