One of those is Ricky, who has been one of his targets since he arrived in town. Death reveals why he has been after Ricky. Another on the list is Crim, who has been tried and convicted of Larry's murder. With Marilyn and the judge's reinstatement of the death penalty within Shuckton, Crim is scheduled to be executed, the event which Marilyn plans on using as an economic development tool. But with Marnie and Ricky's evidence of the murder weapon in hand, Larry's real murderer confesses. But before Death leaves town, he receives an unusual request from one Shucktonite, and another Shucktonite decides to take the matter of his own eternal future into his own hands.
